Ayana is a Partner in the Litigation Department. She was the sole recipient of the Legal Education Certificate of Merit in her Norman Manley Law School graduating class in 2003.
Ayana has a keen interest in corporate litigation, general property disputes, adverse possession claims, boundary disputes and copyright and breach of confidence litigation. She often appears before the Ministry of Labour and Industrial Disputes Tribunal (IDT) in unfair dismissal claims and undertakes personal injury litigation as well as other general negligence claims.
Ayana is a lecturer in Family Law and Tort Law at the University of Technology, Jamaica. She is also deeply interested in community outreach programmes and is currently a part-time teacher for JAMAL at St. Margaret’s Church. Ayana is a member of the Jamaican Bar Association (JAMBAR) as well as the JAMBAR Employment Law Committee.
