Jaavonne is an Associate in the firm’s Litigation Department and a member of our Insurance Team. She was called to the Jamaican Bar in December 2017 and joined the firm in February 2018.
Her practice areas include: civil and commercial litigation, insurance litigation, recovery of possession, personal injury/negligence matters. Jaavonne is a passionate advocate and possesses a keen interest in complex litigious matters particularly relating to: family, admiralty, telecommunications and insolvency.

During her undergraduate studies Jaavonne was involved in various student’s activities and service initiatives. She was the President of the Mona Law Society, Faculty of Law Representative on the Guild of Students, a member of several boards at the University and a recipient of several scholarships.

Whilst at the Norman Manley Law school, Jaavonne was a member of the winning Margaret Forte Trial Advocacy Team, and a recipient of the Hon. Mr. Justice Kenneth Smith, O.J Memorial Prize for Best Performance in Trial Advocacy.

She is a member of the Jamaica Bar Association and the Immaculate Conception High School’s Alumnae Association.
